Bariloche is situated in the foothills of the Andes on the southern shores of Nahuel Huapi Lake within the Nahuel Huapi National Park. After development of Alpine-styled architecture, the city emerged as a major tourism center with ski, trekking and mountaineering  and plenty of other outdoor activities & facilities. The destination also has numerous restaurants, cafés, and chocolate shops as well as excellent venues & hotels for large events and groups.
